Looking forward

Dart Drama Festival 2012 has been and gone and we're now starting the planning process for DDF 2013. Provisional dates, as shown in the programme for 2012 are 8th and 9th November 2013 (make a note in your diary).

The popularity of the Dart Drama Festival has been quite overwhelming; the interest and enthusiasm of the participating groups is hugely uplifting.

But what next? The festival can't stand still hopefully, more groups will come and take part, so the festival can grow and be extended for more days of high class amateur drama.

We also hope to start a non-competitive Youth Drama Day for the many and varied junior sections and schools. This would act as the launch pad for festival week.

Technical workshops were held fo the first time this year, proving to be very popular. As a consequence, it is planned to hold more in the various disciplines of theatre and stagecraft, lead by professionals in their field.

And last, but by no means least, fundraising will continue to be high on the agenda, to keep costs to a minimum, so all can experience the huge amount of high quality talent in our area.
